What information do we collect? How do we use it?
When you register as a member of OvCa.net, we ask for your name, gender, birth date, primary language, location and certain other information. The more information you volunteer (and the more accurate it is), the better we are able to customize your experience and offer services that are valuable to you.

In addition to member registration, we may ask you for personal information at other times, including, but not limited to, the following:

• when you enter a contest or promotion sponsored by OvCa.net and/or our partners;
• when you post your profile;
• when you submit a listing for a Web site;
• when you submit a photo or article for publication;
• when you submit a review of a book, resource, etc;
• when you complete a survey for research purposes; and
• when you report a problem with one of our sites or services.

If you contact OvCa.net, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

In order to provide our services free of charge, we may display advertisements. By knowing a little about you, OvCa.net is able to deliver more relevant advertisements and content, and hence better service, to you.

OvCa.net may generate statistical profiles using any of the information provided through the Site, including the information provided to us during registration, during a contest or promotion, from our server log files, and from surveys. What about "cookies"?

Will OvCa.net disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
OvCa.net does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others.

We may share aggregate statistics about our users, traffic patterns and other information collected through the Site with advertisers or business partners, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information.

What are my choices regarding collection, use and distribution of my information?
You may update or change the information related to your OvCa.net membership by accessing our Modify Profile page. You will need your OvCa.net member name and password in order to access your membership information.

OvCa.net may, from time to time, send you email regarding products, services, offers and information we feel may be of interest to you. If you do not want to receive such promotional email, simply tell us when you register for membership or change your preferences by accessing our Modify Profile page.

When you participate in certain contests and promotions that OvCa.net may offer, you will automatically receive contest or promotion related email, unless you choose the no-email option that some contests and promotions offer. Email related to contests and promotions may occasionally include targeted advertisements.

You may choose to modify your browser preferences to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. If you choose to reject all cookies, you will be unable to use certain OvCa.net services.

What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of my information?
Your OvCa.net membership profile is password-protected, and only you are authorized to use it to access this personal information. In addition, the use of certain member services is also password-protected. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. Be aware that OvCa.net will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited email.

To ensure that others cannot access your personal information and email, please remember to sign out of your OvCa.net session and close your browser window at the end of each session.

The personal information that you provide us is stored on servers, which are located in a secured facility with restricted access. In addition, all OvCa.net personnel who have access to your information are trained in the maintenance and security of such information, and OvCa.net limits access to such information by its staff to the minimum information reasonably required in order to provide prompt, high quality service.

No data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, OvCa.net cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online products or services, and you do so at your own risk.

What else should I know about my privacy?
Please bear in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online (for example, in bulletin boards, instant messaging, live chats, or email), that information can be collected and used by others. If you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.

Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any membership information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you are online.
